De Forged Narrow Superlite 4R (FNSL4R) voegt de veelzijdigheid en het gemak van radiale montage toe aan de alom populaire remklauwgroep van Wilwood. Radiale montage vereenvoudigt de aanpassing en biedt twee afstelvlakken voor nauwkeurige uitlijning over de schijf. Deze remklauwen integreren de “Big Brake”-stijl met de nieuwste technologie van Wilwood om grote remkracht te genereren in extreme omgevingen. De sleutel tot de superieure prestaties is het extreem duurzame en efficiënte carrosserieontwerp. Vanaf 4,9 pond is elk remklauwlichaam onder spanning gesmeed uit knuppels van hoogwaardige aluminiumlegering. De configuratie van de differentiële boring met vier zuigers zorgt voor een uitgebalanceerde belasting voor gelijkmatige slijtage van de remblokken in omgevingen met aanhoudende hoge temperaturen. FNSL4R-remklauwen zijn voorzien van roestvrijstalen zuigers uit één stuk. Roestvast staal wordt gebruikt vanwege zijn langzame warmteoverdracht en hoge weerstand tegen corrosie. Bovendien is elke FNSL4R uitgerust met SRS-brugplaten om alle brugslijtage veroorzaakt door het gutsen van de remblokken te elimineren en de levensduur van de remklauw te verlengen. De veerbelaste actie van de SRS-platen elimineert ook het rammelen van de pad en dempt de harmonische trillingen die bijdragen aan het piepen van de pad. Tweedelige ontluchtingsschroeven aan elk uiteinde en interne vloeistofovergangen voorkomen schade door spoorresten.

GT aluminium hoeden zijn lichtgewicht en sterk om het uitzonderlijke remkoppel te beheren dat wordt gegenereerd door het Big Brake-systeem. De hoeden zijn speciaal ontworpen voor gebruik op OE-naven zonder aanpassingen of interferentie met de ophanging. Zwart geanodiseerde afwerking om corrosie te voorkomen en het algehele uiterlijk van het complete pakket te verbeteren.

Het resultaat is een soepelere aangrijping met verbeterde consistentie en respons op het pedaal. Elke SRP-rotor is behandeld met een zilver zink laag om corrosie te verminderen op de delen van de rotor die niet schoon worden gehouden door contact met de pad.

Het complete Wilwood-rempakket omvat gesmede remklauwen met 4 zuigers, 2-delige GT-remschijven, Promatrix-remblokken, montagebeugels en hardware.

The Forged Narrow Superlite 4R (FNSL4R) adds the versatility and convenience of radial mounting to Wilwood’s widely popular caliper group. Radial mounting simplifies adaptation and provides two planes of adjustment for accurate alignment over the disc. These calipers integrate “Big Brake” style with Wilwood’s latest technology to generate big stopping power in extreme environments. The key to the superior performance is extremely durable and efficient body design. Starting at 4.9 pounds, each caliper body is stress-flow forged from premium grade aluminum alloy billets. The four-piston differential bore configuration provides balanced loading for even pad wear in sustained high heat environments. FNSL4R calipers feature one-piece stainless steel pistons. Stainless is used for its slow heat transfer properties and high resistance to corrosion .In addition, each FNSL4R is equipped with SRS bridge plates to eliminate all bridge wear caused by pad gouging and extend the service life of the caliper. The spring-loaded action of the SRS plates also eliminates pad rattle and dampens the harmonic vibrations that contribute to pad squeal. Two piece bleed screws on each end and internal fluid crossovers prevent damage from track debris.

GT aluminum hats are lightweight and strong to manage the exceptional brake torque generated by the Big Brake system. The hats are specially designed for use on OE hubs without modifications or interference to the suspension. Black anodized finish to prevent corrosion and enhance the overall appearance of the complete package.

Large 14″ diameter vented iron rotors provide substantial increases in cooling and stopping power over small diameter OE rotors. All Wilwood rotors are manufactured from premium grade, long grain carbon iron to provide long wear with high thermal stability and resistance to distortion. The superior heat absorption and dissipation qualities of a directional vane iron rotor are essential to preventing heat fade and realizing the longest service life from the pads and rotors. The SRP rotor kits offer the high-tech look and improved performance of a directional cross-drill and face slot pattern. In addition to their aesthetic appeal, the venting and cleaning action of the holes and slots will reduce pad glaze, dissipate surface heat, and minimize irregular pad build-up on the rotor faces. The results are smoother engagement with improved consistency and response at the pedal. Every SRP rotor is treated with a silver zinc wash to reduce corrosion on the areas of the rotor not kept clean by pad contact.
