The Dakota Digital BIM GPS Speedometer/Compass Expansion helps to display speed information, compass heading, altimeter data and automatic clock syncing when paired with any Dakota Digital RTX, HDX, VHX or VFD3 Instrument system. THe expansion features state of the art accelerometers and predictive software to compensate for typical GPS pitfalls like overpasses, mountains, heavy tree cover and large buildings. The unique build of this unit makes it so that it uses a low amount of current when off but has a lightning fast start-up and signal acquisition when you’re ready to go.

The BIM GPS Speedometer/Compass Expansion is also compatible with other common aftermarket electronic speedometers. This compatibility offers the user selectable output of 4k, 8k or 16k PPM signals and a selectable signal type of a Sine Wave or Square Wave. While the expansion is not designed to control a shift computer or shift pattern of the transmission, it is capable of supplying a 54,400 or 128K PPM signal to supply an ECM to ease some of those unique transmission swap situations!
