Voor automaat uitgeruste 1966-1968 427 & 1968 327 Corvette’s heeft deze radiateur een geïntegreerde transmissiekoeler in plaats van gebruik te maken van de kleine koeler die aan de voorkant van de fabrieksradiatoren is gemonteerd.

For automatic equipped 1966-1968 427 & 1968 327 Corvette’s this radiator features an integrated transmission cooler rather than utilizing the small cooler mounted on the front of the factory radiators.

Direct Fit radiators are completely manufactured and assembled right here in the United States. Along with that comes the quality that you would expect from a company that takes pride in turning out Corvette radiators. Each Direct Fit Corvette radiator begins life as an aluminum core with two 1″ wide cooling tubes. This configuration more than doubles the cooling capacity by increasing the “tube to fin” contact area. This can only be achieved with an aluminum radiator since the aluminum material does not dramatically affect the radiators weight. Tanks are press formed and inlet/outlets are correctly configured for a drop-in installation. Each core is then brazed in a controlled atmosphere furnace; which eliminates the need for epoxy, ensuring leak free, trouble free service for many years to come. Direct Fit radiators include GM style top-hat channel and factory style tanks for a radiator that not only drops-in place but also looks OEM.

The dual fan addition to our Corvette Direct Fit aluminum radiator eliminates the factory Corvette fan shroud and engine driven fan. Increasing cooling efficiency while decreasing the “power rob” associated with engine driven cooling fans. All necessary relays, fuses, and wiring is included with the combo. Dewitt’s has also solved the problem of ill fitting radiator cushions and support brackets. Direct Fit radiator can be installed with a newly designed rubber mount cushion that has been molded to fit both the GM “U” style radiator support bracket and the “top-hat” channel found on Direct Fit radiators. These cushions provide for a perfect mount – much better than stock rubber. To complete the installation of your Direct Fit radiator – We suggests purchasing (4) molded rubber cushions (# RA-240). Direct Fit radiators are available in your choice of natural or black ice coated. Black Ice is an OE-style epoxy finish designed to turn an aluminum radiator into a factory look-alike without affecting cooling performance. Specify radiator finish when ordering.
